Hello one and all.

Here's an improvisation between Peter Knight and I leading into his magnificent song 'From a Lullaby Kiss' on last year's Feast of Fiddles Tour. Purely nostalgic reasons to keep this here - but I remember performing it every night on tour with a mixture of joy, awe and terror!

I've been busy at home recording projects for lots of singer songwriters, film score composers and bands, as well as spending time in one of my favourite local recording studios, Rhythm Studios which as well as being fab is a 10 minute drive from my home.
Tea and cake abound.

Earlier this year I was lucky enough to spend a week at Halsway Manor on a retreat for professional musicians. I took my instruments and a basic recording set up which I managed to get working in my little bedroom. It was fantastic to meet and get to know other musicians and not only spend time with them but make music with them too.
While I was there I wrote and recorded a piece based on The Lady of Shalott. This was a very personal project as it was my uncle's favourite poem and he sadly died shortly after I had written this. It was added to by my friend Robbie K Jones (from the Track Dogs) who played some percussion on it.

Another outcome of this retreat is being asked to produce an album for the gorgeous Clementine Lovell, who writes and sings and also plays a very large full size accordion. We played some songs together at Halsway and the chemistry was there, so I'm thrilled to have been asked by her to produce her solo album.
 
Planning for 2025 marches ahead with a new project with Reg Meuross - Fire and Dust. This is a song cycle written by Reg, who is a master songwriter, and produced by Pete Townshend (who appears on the album too). Fellow musicians involved are Geraint Watkins (Van Morrison), Simon Edwards and Roy Dodds (Fairground Attraction), Phil Beer (Show of Hands) and many others.
We'll be touring it next year after the premiere in London in March.
 
Still loving being part of The Sandy Denny Project and TRADarrr too. And I've just performed as a guest with two of my heroes - Chris While and Julie Matthews. Deep joy!
 
Diary management is a nightmare, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
